“We had a natural home birth where my mother was the first to catch Lilo and give her to me. She did not leave my arms until about 3 hours after her birth to take her weight, length and separate the placenta (which was still supplying her with blood) all this was done by my side in my bed never separated. I couldn't have asked for a better midwife Catalina Clark for her support through this incredible initiation in to motherhood. We had not bathed Lilo until day 3 in order for the entire microbiome of the birth canal to protect and strengthens her immune system. At night she sleeps in my arms or next to me. No need to separate in a crib, no chemicals, no injections, no soap, all was natural as nature intended. My whole idea of childbirth was completely misinformed until I met Catalina. Thanks to her my baby came to this beautiful world in the most natural way and without any unnecessary trauma. Catalina continues to be of help and good advice month into motherhood. “We were blessed to have had an amazing birth experience with Catalina! We hired her late in my wife's pregnancy as my wife decided she preferred a home birth...after much deliberation.
